Great location. Rooms with balconies, beds are extremely comfortable, bedding is high end. Rooftop bar, club and pool on the 5th floor. Great wellness facilities, 24hr Gym. I was impressed.. they also had TRX wall mounts. A few of them, outdoor boxing bag. A few cardio machines, leg machines and overall body weight machines. The gym is connected to the wellness centre where you can access the indoor swimming pool and other facilities. 3 restaurants within the hotel. Fantastic Steak and more. The service is impeccable, they treat you like royalty. It’s everything in this place. The energy, vibe, ambience and aura. Local shops 5/10 mins away. There’s a Korean restaurant 5 mins away and other facilities are 5/10 mins away by car including las canteras shopping mall which I’d say is around 12 mins drive. The hotel literally has everything you need and more. Everything is high end. The staff really add the fine touch. Always smiling no matter how busy or long there shift is. You notice they give it there all. I did hear some saying there is loud music especially on weekends so I took the 2nd floor. Tbh I didn’t hear anything unless I opened my balcony door. I assume for higher floors it maybe different however I was at the rooftop partying away anyway 😉. Breakfast is amazing. They can cater for practically everything. I’m on a specific diet so they gave me berries and also made me an awesome smoothie. They have a great range of breakfast. The hotel surely lives up to its reputation. Different ballgame.

Very pleasant staff and made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The selection was very good and the food replenished regularly. A very relaxed atmosphere. The facilities were also excellent although the rooftop pool was only available to the more "upper class" resident as we only found out later in our stay. The pool area was excellently maintained and the pool was fantastic for a cool off. No chlorine meant no stinging eyes but the pool was spotless. BIG shout out to the 'lifeguard' who was dressed all in white - he walked the area constantly making sure everyone was comfortable with towels, shade, etc. He was very attentive - more so than his colleague(s) on the days he was not working. The hotel location was a little bit out of the way although there are a couple of decent eateries within a 5 minute walk. The old town is a 40 minute walk in one direction and the beach a 15 minute walk in the other. The beach itself (Playa de las Alcaravaneras) overlooked the container port and was not the cleanest. If you want a better beach you need to walk 40 minutes (or take a taxi) to Playa de las Canteras. The beach is cleaner and longer and there is more life in terms of bars, restaurants (and hotels).

The rooms are excellent, particularly the bathroom. Double basins, private toilet, and Gold Medal winner!: the shower. We had a balcony room; well worth the extra cost. The breakfast buffet is excellent. 1890 restaurant is very good for dinner. Both have large outdoor terraces, lovely in fine weather as it was when we stayed. The outdoor pool and lounging area is marvellous, and very well managed, with towels provided, and showers. The hotel is in the middle of a park, which gives it a great sense of calm and exclusivity. But all areas of Las Palmas are within easy reach by taxi or by foot.

James

Wonderful historic hotel very near the port and equidistant from Las Canteras beach and the historic parts of Las Palmas (Vegueta and Triana). Wonderful opulent feel to all central areas, really great swimming pool, reasonably priced spa and wellness area. Very comfortable room with lovely bed and bathroom, best shower ever. Only slight quibble was that facing over a courtyard and other rooms reduced our feeling of privacy somewhat and on our first afternoon/ early evening we were disturbed a great deal by a very noisy party in the courtyard.

Ruth

Everything, I used to work in high quality hospitality and its exactly the same treatment as on private yachts or Ritz hotel.. Excellence ,I was very impressed 👌 sorry saying that...but it was that particular lady who walked too loud on her hills and being too loud while speaking. Lady in purple uniform. Anyway great, la cream the la cream 🔝
